Who Is Jesus? Seeking Truth In The Advent Season

The Season of Light is here!

As we prepare to celebrate the First Advent of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, let us prepare our hearts by reflecting over His life and promises in Scripture.

John 8:58 NIV
“Very truly I tell you,’ Jesus answered, ‘before Abraham was born, I am!’ “

Please join me in reading and journaling through the truth of who Jesus is. We will look at the following themes: Jesus is God, Jesus is Creator, Jesus in the Old Testament, Jesus Is Savior, Jesus Defeats Sin, Jesus’ Victory, Celebration, Consummation, and Preparing For the New Year.

Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

  1. These are great topics for study this season and always. Thank you for sharing! Have a great week Maryann.

  2. Who’s this Jesus that I’m facin’?
    I think I maybe understand;
    He’s the perfect combination
of the Hulk and Iron Man,
with a touch of old Confucius,
    ’cause His wisdom’s really super.
As for grit, you know, the truth is
He’s like High Noon’s Gary Cooper.
    He’s got Billy Graham’s candour,
Mother T’s bright heart for good,
makes us laugh like Adam Sanler,
    and He’s tougher than Eastwood.
I guess solution to His mystery
is He’s the best that we can be.
