What the Bible Says is Right: Three Affirming Verses To Direct Your Faith

There is only one right answer.

Once you know that answer, all else must be in line with it.

Jesus.

He is the only way. He is the only truth. He is the only life. All else fails in comparison to Him.

We must go forth with this knowledge on the forefront of our daily living. This fact should always be our guiding light. If our thoughts and actions don’t align with the Lord’s, there will be a day of reckoning. We will need to account for our failings if we claim Jesus as Lord, yet neglect our faith walk.

Colossians 3:17 ESV

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Are we using the Lord’s name while walking in sin? Are we wearing His name on our sleeve while defiling ourselves? Do we curse, gossip, or slander by His name?

James 4:17

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Are we idle when The Spirit tells us to move? Are we discerning in our steps? Do we call out evil and confirm good? Are we walking righteously in our calling or neglecting our faith?

We have a chance to shine as Christians right now. We can and should be lights for Jesus and the Kingdom in every moment. Society is tumbling down a steep slope and we need to be there, fishing for men with our words and actions. Our faith should be worn as our daily garments so that people will pause before stepping over that ledge into the abyss.

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

We are called to a higher degree of living. As believers in the one, true faith, we cannot tip-toe around the parts of life that are uncomfortable and unjust. We can’t look hypocrisy in the face and shrug it off because it doesn’t directly affect us. It is time to speak up and with love.

Truth may hurt and divide, but there is never time to love people to death. We must love them to life with the truth. God knows the heart and He will see His plan through. Let us remember who we are and glorify Him with our lives. Let us do our parts for His kingdom.

  3. Yes! Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life! Jesus is THE answer to everything. Those of us who know this truth must be about our Father’s business of sharing that truth, no matter the consequences! Thank you for this post to urge us to share Jesus now!

  4. This is so good. A lot of people today are afraid to speak the truth because it isn’t popular or because they are afraid they might offend somebody. It seems like you can get attacked just for telling the truth of His word these days. We need to really challenge ourselves to tell the truth in love. Blessings, Joni
