All these years I stepped lightly in faith.
Quiet prayer, study and discipleship has gotten me through trials and life. I stayed on the down low as my path felt lonely and sometimes barren.
It is now time to step up and out in faith and to realize I don’t need to do so alone. As I have discipled my children in the ways of our Lord, their hearts have been nurtured to go forward in the great commission in their young lives. Their outreach is being called past their VBS volunteer work to beyond borders and language.
As my children cry out to the Lord for His work to propel them in faith, the Lord propels me to go forth with them. Together we move beyond our comfort zones to reach those longing for hope and joy in their lives.
Mark 16:15 ESV
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation
We are preparing for a trip overseas in 2019. We will come together with people from other nations, other languages, and other forms of worship. Together as one body, one church, we will accomplish kingdom work as well as build each other up in faith.
When I had my first child almost 16 years ago, I felt slightly lost in my excitement.
I didn’t press into any thoughts of education or faith matters. I simply wanted to get through the sleepless nights and raise a healthy child.
As the Lord grew our family and softened our hearts, the conviction of the Spirit set into motion a family legacy of faith and training. Our home became our mission field. I never dreamed that our field would change and that we would take all that we have learned beyond our communities and into the big world.
Fear could easily hold us back as well as doubts in the support we may not gain. We have been encouraged to remain faithful in our belief that the Lord will provide a way. We are grabbing on to Him tighter than ever and praying that our increasing faith will be a light to the whole world. We pray that the little fires in our hearts break forth and bring people to the Lord.
Psalm 96:3 ESV
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
While we prepare to go, we ask that our family and friends partner in prayer with us for spiritual guidance, training, safety, and funds. Pray for our family to be further united in faith and trust. We want our joy and hope in the Lord to shine brighter than ever and for our excitement to extend to the masses.
Matthew 28:19 ESV
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
