You stand in trepidation.
Teetering with one foot on the ground and the other hovering over the mountain. You question your ability to conquer the unknown battle ahead. The bottom of the mountain is always the most daunting part. From the distance, the range looks appealing and beautiful. But as you stand ready to move upon it’s vastness, you are belittled into a feeble mouse of a person who would rather burrow with the critters in the shadows of the brush than to take on the unfamiliar.
As a little human, we are born into sin hence we are really never enough of most things when it comes to the righteousness of God. We stand in trials, temptations, personal disputes, and the weight of a depressive society on a regular footing.
Our hands feel empty of help to move forward. The darkness rips the tow rope from our hands and we are left with our own fleeting strength to move forward.
1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Stand firm against the enemy and against the vast mountain ahead. Our work moving forward should not be in vain or encumbered in dismay. Allow for the hesitation to melt away and for a steadfast heart attitude to propel you forward.
The Lord goes with you in all things that His sovereign way ordains. We must remember that the mountains bend to Him and the sky glorifies His name. As you climb, remember to do the same.
James 1:12
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
The Lord promises to see us through. He will crown us with life as we enter His gates. Stand up against the enemy who wishes to overpower you. He is the one who will forsake you if fallen victim to him. Resist the urge for ease and step into the light that guides you over that mountain top.

Thank you got your encouraging post. They were words I needed to hear. Maree
Thank you for sharing. The bible reminds us to stand firm, but I love that The bible also tells us what to stand on– Christ. He is our firm foundation and our rock. We can’t stand firm if we are not standing in the right stuff.
Yes, this is really true. Thanks for sharing. =)
