Time to set into the motion the seasons of gratitude and advent.
Preparing for a repeat of thankful and expectant hearts all the while making new memories, new chances of hospitality and new attitudes. How do we cling to the memory making traditions and create new mindfulness?
Repeat. Just set our lives in motion, in a cycle that brings us full circle in truth, values and integrity. Create light in those areas instead of strife or discord among those who don’t understand why we prepare in the season that typically has dark hours, cold hearts, and stiff bones. The joy that people feel is quickly fleeting after the twinkle dies. We need to extend ourselves past the ribbons and trappings and keep coming back to the hope we started with.
Psalm 118:24 ESV
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Each and every day He has made. The cold and dreary ones, the bright ones, and all of the days in between. A new day, a new chance, and a new way to add to your testimony of faith happens every time you step out of your slumber. Creating an opportunity to be light, every day go forth with what the season at hand has the opportunity to shine.
Each new day is a gift, each season an opportunity for growth. When we face this time of the year, it’s easy to hide behind the busyness. Instead, we need to take a moment to reflect on the meaning and pay the thankfulness and excitement of the advent of our Lord forward. It is time to share why we have hope despite ourselves.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
