This is not a test.
You must get up and move. Like it or not, facing adversity or ease, you must pick up your cross and follow the truth, follow the Lord.
As a Christian we know that we are called to more than secular society seems to define. We are more than our looks, jobs, circles, or statuses. We are more than our ailments, burdens, hurts, and emptiness. Made for more, we need to move beyond skating by in life.
How do we do this? How do we get past the bondage to societal acceptance? And most of all, what if our crosses are too heavy to lift, let alone carry?
Galatians 2:20 ESV
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Christ lives is us and gives us strength despite the weakness we may feel. Call upon Him and admit your faults and ask for His help. Ask Him for you to die to your excuses, your temptations, your burdens and the heaviness of life. Ask Him to give you that endurance to carry your cross and move along the path of righteousness and sanctification.
It may be difficult at times, but it’s worth the price that the Lord paid for your life. A life of service to the Lord is worth the weight of the trials you need to fight through to get to the place of a glorified body.
John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
He has overcome the world so that you can have eternity debt free and burden free. You are longer a slave to the world but a servant of Christ. As a servant, you are free from bondage, and that cross is light in comparison to eternity. Follow Him, and He will set you on the path of salvation.
