There is no other name.
His name is higher than any other. There is no one like our God. He is greater than all things.
It all sounds like song lyrics, but these little tidbits are full truth. No matter what what non-Biblical or pluralistic apologetic may argue against, there is truly no other name.
My daughter was recently presented with obscure truth: all people go to heaven. Just be a good person, do your best, and stay true to your beliefs.
As dumbfounded as she was, my child fired back: Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one gets to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Funny thing is that this same person said these same words to me several years ago and I came to the same response as my child.
Despite the real truth, a further explanation of the other “truth” was presented: that may be true for you, but God is represented in other ways, by other means. Native Americans worship nature and that’s God. Jehovah Witnesses celebrate accomplishments and that’s how they worship God. Muslims worship Allah and that’s the same as our God. Buddists, Hindus, and other religions all worship God in their way hence gain heaven.
Did you know that the list went on? I was told that Atheists are the only ones who don’t go to heaven because they believe in nothing. My daughter was told otherwise. As long as Atheists stay true to themselves and are good people, they to will be in the afterlife.
Pluralism is no joke. A fourteen year old child sees through the facade, yet still has the truth negated from underneath her because…. she’s a child and just doesn’t know better.
This cultural idea of how to reach heaven has been finely represented through all denominations and faiths throughout all of time. You would think that as we progress and have the ability to seek truth out for ourselves we would see that you cannot put Christianity in a box with anything else. We stand apart because we are set apart for the Lord. We are not meant for eternity gained through good deeds or a fusion of belief systems.
John 14:6 NIV
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Our faith states that there is only one way, not many. We cannot melt together with other though processes and believe that we win the battle in the end. Thinking good thoughts and working hard doesn’t earn us a pass, a stamp of approval or a key to the city. Belief in Jesus, that is the only way to salvation.
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
Do with these things as you see fit. Our thoughts and actions don’t matter if they are not lined up with truth. You are either for Him, or you are not. There is no middle ground. I pray that we all seek discernment in regard to the truth of the cross and the Word of God. Once we hide these things in our hearts, no man can tear us away from them with their anti-Biblical ramblings. Even a child full of the Spirit and armed with the truth can stand against the lies of the enemy.

Indeed there is no other name
AWESOME POST! I actually posted this on FaceBook
Thank you.
I was surprised recently by some family members who believe we all go to heaven. A close family friend who has been deep in the Word in the past now fully believes there is no satan, therefore, no hell. Deception abounds. Great post!
Wow! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing so deeply.
