Immanuel, God with us. God is no longer a super-natural figure, but a man came down to walk with us.
David spoke of the son that was to come to serve the people, proclaiming truth and leading us to salvation:
But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain. “I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
Isaiah prophesied that a virgin girl would conceive and carry the Son that would save the World.
7: 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
John spoke of how the Son was with the Father from the beginning: 1: 1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.…
Predicted, received, proclaimed!
The truth lies in actions, words and faith. Hope lies in the same. The Son came to fulfill the promise to save those who would blindly walk in that faith and receive the gift of salvation in the truth.
These words are so very simple to understand and so very simple to believe. When these words are God-breathed and the world is so divinely created, how can one argue to the truth of a Loving Creator who killed His own Son so that everyone, EVERYONE- you and me- can have the choice of eternal life? Living life with blinders thinking that there is no God hence there is no Son of God gives little meaning to any kind of purposeful life. Why live if the end is only dust? We are created from it, and to it our bodies return, but our souls live on forever. Without a faith in the divine, our souls are nothing.
The Son of God, divine and holy, became the lamb for the slaughter so you wouldn’t have to be.
We have the opportunity to be like the Son of God. 1 Corinthians 2: 16 says: But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
This means that we choose servitude, morals, grace towards others, submissions, and truth and strength of reason through God.
