God chose us.
From the foundation of the earth, His created beings were chosen in love. We are made in His image.
In our own will, we choose to break the family ties. In our ways, we walk the easy path out the front door towards worldly treasures and feelings.
He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy
Psalm 105:43 NIV
The joy that He brought us forth in doesn’t seem to rope us in. What is joy without comfort, popularity, and material possessions? Him just loving us doesn’t always seem enough. It hasn’t appeared to ever have been with so many people turning their backs to faith. The world binds us in and we lean into a love affair with it.
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
John 15:19 NIV
The Lord is committed to us. He has been so before we even took our first breath. When He adopted us into His family He stood in faithfulness to the care of His loved ones. We are to be blameless and walk as royalty reflecting an eternal kingdom. Instead, we scoff and mock. We want ease.
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—
Ephesians 1:4-5 NIV
He has so much in store for us. Grand opportunities that we could never imagine are waiting in the wings. A life of ease may never see us to a path of righteousness, but a life of hope in faith will point us the one who will be our guide
Deeds without the Lord will never grant us eternal favors. Instead, choosing to commit to the truth will bring us back home. We can bear fruit that lasts forever. He will bless us in abundance .
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
John 15:16 NIV
There are rewards lying ahead. They await us in eternity. Rely on the truth of our faith knowing that we are chosen for more than what this world offers. We would do well to attach to the truth of the gospel than to what the world projects as favor.

The verses above are beautiful and stark reminders for us as Believers. Thank you!
Oh so powerful Maryann!!! How horribly easy it is to walk out the front door to worldly treasures! Thank you for all the scripture to remind us Who to seek after! I’m always awed by your wisdomand insight!
Beautiful verses and photos. I love the colors! God calls us and blesses us. “We can bear fruit that lasts forever.”
We are chosen by God!! Wow! I needed this reminder today. God is for us and he loves us so much as his children.
Reading this just brought a slow, refreshing inhale and exhale! We are (fingers crossed and hope held high) coming to the end of a long waiting season… the truth of this is stirring up faith fresh again today: “He has so much in store for us. Grand opportunities that we could never imagine are waiting in the wings. A life of ease may never see us to a path of righteousness, but a life of hope in faith will point us the one who will be our guide.”
