The Fruit of the Spirit is…
I really like how this verse is portrayed in The Message:
Galatians 5:22-24 The Message (MSG)
22-23 But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
23-24 Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified.

and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy
Spirit who has been given to us.
Goodness Romans 12: 9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
Faithfulness 1 John2: 25 And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.
Gentleness Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Self-Control Proverbs 29:11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.
Against such Godly character traits, no law can stand. Legalism is dead and we are cleansed through the blood of Christ Jesus.
God’s mercies are new every day and when we are lacking in His character traits, we prayerfully ask His will upon our lives. We all struggle and only Christ is perfect. Because of his blood, we will be as well on that day of glory!
Peace be with you. God is good, all the time!
What was your favorite smoothie over the past three weeks? I think mine was the Pineapple one that I posted last. However, anything with peanut butter is also at the top of my list. Today I will post a recipe for something I have not made yet, but looks delicious. I hope that all of you can try it at some point this day.
Chocolate- Peanut Butter Smoothie (It does have fruit in it!)
1/2 cup milk (low fat or Almond)
2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
As you indulge in this delicious smoothie, take a listen to one of my favorite songs.
