Monocacy Coffee Co. is a little coffee company based out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  They specialize in Fair Trader Coffee and have a few prime choices on their website  at Monocacy Coffee Co.

The one we are most excited about is Ethiopia Harar Longberry Gr. 1.  The coffee production in Harar is down about 40% in 2016-2017 due to drought. Farmers in these regions are turning to other agricultural means to provide for their families and communities. Some of the alternative crops produce powerful narcotics so if the international market cannot increase demand for Harar coffees, the coffee farmers will be forced to abandon their crop altogether.

Now we are not coffee connoisseurs, but we know what we like when we taste it and we generally will stick to a few flavors. However, we are not above trying something new and changing our styles and tastes for coffee.

Harar Longberry has tones of Strawberry, Rhubarb, and Bing Cherry.
