Beauty and Royalty, A Promise From God

They escaped from slavery, from injustice, from bondage into a love relationship of freedom.

The Lord brought His people out of the dust and into the promised land, creating a forever bond involving beauty and royalty.

You grew exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty.  And your renown went forth among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through the splendor that I had bestowed on you, declares the Lord God.

Ezekiel 16:13-14 ESV

He spoke life and adoration upon His children. He pulled them from the bottom and stuck a crown on their heads. They walked in esteem for a time and lived life like they were loved.

Something happened along the way.

Doubt, sin and lies followed behind their royal ropes. Some held on to hope and truth while others took what appeared to be the easy road.

Despite what many believed, the easy road has led to heart-break, pain and ultimate death. It still does. Liberty seems all shiny and attainable to the seemingly undemanding way, but that’s the glasses of the evil one that have been placed nonchalantly upon our brow.

These words seem to no longer apply to our plight because we are no longer in the land of milk and honey. We have fallen upon the grounds of competition and greed of hearts, minds, and pockets. Why live a life of servitude to the Lord when we can create our own royal image on social media? We can be anything to anyone at anytime. Why strain when we can cover up our devastated lives with a social filter?

Do you know that the words the Lord spoke to His people coming out of the wilderness can also be poured upon us now because of our faith in Jesus, our Savior?

God sees us as beautiful, royal heirs, and splendors without sticking a filter upon our lives or creating deep pockets? Do you know that we already wear a crown in the kingdom that matters most?

You may doubt your royal beauty in these days of uncertainty and doubt, but you are part of the chosen race. You are part of the royal priesthood.

You are called out of darkness into His marvelous light

  1. This is such a beautiful reminder and so timely in today’s society. It’s so easy to hide behind a keyboard, put on that cute Instagram filter and fake it til you make it, but the Lord loves our hearts, our core and what’s real. Beauty and royalty is full of extravagance, and we serve an extravagant God, who wants to love his people in fullness. Thank you so much for sharing xx

  2. I like that word, grew in Ez. 16 – it implies process, and the fact we are going to be all He intends is a beautiful thing. Blessings on your ministry.
