Living as a woman in the 21st century, opportunities abound in career choices, education, and outside opportunities.
We have freedoms to make the world a better place through volunteering, ministry and missions, and mentorship. God has given us the ability to progress and to be that equal help-meet to the men in our lives.
If we are living on the upside of history with the Lord’s Word and will at our finger tips, why do we fall into the trap of bondage to doubts, depression, and hopelessness? Anxiety in our society is at an all-time high and it appears that it’s not coming down any time in the near future.
I believe that sometimes we fall into this abyss because we often lose sight of the attributes of Our Father. Focus elsewhere takes precedence over the truth and what keeps us grounded in our Christian faith. Without being in denial, this happens to most of us and we need to have a time to refocus and pray through the attributes of God. Once we hide these truths about Him in our hearts, we have a way to fight back against the lies that want to bring us down.
The very first focus that we should have is that the Lord is sovereign over all. It doesn’t matter how we think or feel about anything else, or even how we fit into the big picture. He is above it and will see us through.
Psalm 103:19 NIV states this sovereignty clearly.
The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
Once we have this truth on the forefront, the rest will all fall into place and become part of our testimony and witness. Here is a list of eleven attributes of God to reflect on and ingest.
God is loving.
1 John 3:1
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
